With peppers taking up nearly 65% of each bottle, the flavor is as pepper forward as any we have ever had. Our flagship sauce boasts a complex chile blend led by the manzano. This medium heat, yellow rocoto varietal is the pepper we built the business around and has become our calling card. It has a citrusy and vegetal flavor profile that we would normally associate with ripe orange bell pepper. These photogenic little beauties are from an unusual species that features black seeds, fuzzy leaves, and always have violet-colored flower petals. It’s no wonder we fell in love with the manzano and we know you will too.

Another Bad Investment was the sauce that put us on our first store shelves back in 2018 by helping us win the “Maker to Market” competition put together by a local coop chain.

🥇 It has now gone on to take awards in the “Latin Style - Hot / Extra Hot” sauce category at ZestFest 2021, our country’s longest-running and most prestigious zesty food competition in Irving, Tx.
